Ingredients
 

Potato

  • 2 Potatoes

  • 2-3 tbsp Oil

  • to taste Salt

Barvas Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

  • 2 Garlic

  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp Paprika

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Chili flakes

  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste

  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

  • few drops Lemon Juice

Step 1:Prepare the Potatoes


  • Peel and cube 2 medium potatoes.Boil in salted water for 5–6 minutes, then drain.

  • Shallow or deep fry in 2–3 tbsp oil until golden and crispy.

  • Drain on paper towels; sprinkle with salt and a pinch of chili powder or paprika (optional).


Step 2:For the Sauce


  • Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic cloves until soft.

  • Add spices; stir for 30 seconds

  • Stir in tomato paste (or ½ cup tomato puree), sugar, and salt to taste.

  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes; thin with water (100 ml) if needed.

  • Blend for a smooth texture or leave it chunky for a rustic feel.

  • Add a lemon juice to brighten the flavor (optional).
