The filling combines protein-rich soya with fresh vegetables, while the garlic chili sauce adds a spicy, tangy finish. It’s a great example of how everyday ingredients can come together into something both satisfying and versatile.

Dumplings:

Dough:

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour

  • 2 tsp Flaxseed Powder

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil

  • Water (as needed)

  • Pinch Salt (Optional)


Filling:

  • 2 cups Cabbage (Chopped)

  • 1 Small Carrot (Chopped)

  • 2 Baby Corn (Chopped)

  • 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili Paste

  • 2+ cups Soya Granules (Boiled)

  • ½ cup Vegetable Stock

  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce

  • 2.25 tsp Chilli Flakes

  • 2 tsp Salt

  • 2 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1 tsp Oil

  • Coriander Leaves & Stems


Garlic Chili Sauce:

  • ½ tsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Garlic (Chopped)

  • 3 Green Chilies (Chopped)

  • ½ tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 1 cup Water

  • 1 tsp Cornflour + 1 tbsp Water (Slurry)

  • Coriander Leaves & Stems

  • Few Drops Lemon Juice

  • Salt to taste

Step 1:Prepare the Dough

  • Mix flour, flaxseed powder, and salt in a bowl.

  • Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.

  • Add olive oil, knead again, and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.


Step 2:Prepare the Fillings

  • Heat oil and sauté ginger-garlic-chili paste.

  • Add vegetables and cook briefly.

  • Add soya granules, soy sauce, spices, and stock.

  • Cook until the mixture is moist but not wet.

  • Add coriander and let it cool.


Step 3:Shape and Steam Dumplings

  • Divide dough into small portions and roll into thin circles.

  • Place filling in the center and seal the edges.

  • Steam for 10–12 minutes until cooked.


Step 4: Prepare the Garlic Chili Sauce

  • Heat oil and sauté garlic and chilies.

  • Add soy sauce and water, then bring to a simmer.

  • Stir in cornflour slurry and cook until slightly thickened.

  • Finish with lemon juice, salt, and coriander.
